MyDiopter provides a digital tool for functional self-assessment of visual comfort for near vision and screen use, and for consumer guidance purposes only.

The service:

  • Does not provide medical diagnosis

  • Does not provide medical advice

  • Does not provide prescriptions

  • Does not replace a professional eye examination

Accordingly, information collected through the service is treated as functional self-assessment and consumer guidance information, and not as clinical medical records.   

Important Functional Nature of Results: Self-assessment results are generated based on user input and device conditions and are intended for general functional awareness only. Results may vary depending on screen size, lighting conditions, user responses and other technical factors. The service is not intended for the detection, diagnosis,
monitoring, or treatment of any medical condition.


  1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Personal information:

Full name, email address, phone number, date of birth.

Self-assessment information:
Responses and results from visual comfort self-assessments.

Technical information:
IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, cookies and usage analytics.

Payment information:
If payments are made, they are processed by external payment providers. MyDiopter does not store credit card details.

Self-assessment and exercise information: Responses, interaction data and progress information from visual comfort self-assessments and eye-exercise activities.


  1. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and use personal data only for:

Providing access to the self-assessment tool and displaying results.
Saving results for user follow-up and comparison over time.
Providing consumer guidance and referral to eye-care professionals.
Sending service-related communications, reminders, and support messages, including via email or phone.
Improving website performance, user experience and security.
Complying with legal and regulatory obligations

Marketing Communications: MyDiopter does not send marketing or promotional messages via SMS, WhatsApp, or automated phone messaging without explicit prior user consent. If marketing communications are introduced in the future, users will be asked to provide separate and specific consent, and will have the right to opt out at any time.

Follow-Up and Service Reminders

As part of the service experience, MyDiopter may send users periodic follow-up reminders, including approximately three months after a self-assessment, in order to help users monitor changes in visual comfort over time.

These communications are considered service-related messages and are not promotional marketing messages. Obtaining user consent for processing, referral to eye-care professionals, and service follow-up communications. Users provide consent to receive such service reminders when using the self-assessment tool.

Users may opt out of such reminders at any time by contacting us at michal@mydiopter.com.


  1. Voluntary Provision of Data

Providing personal data is voluntary.
However, without providing required information, the requested service may not be available.

We process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a service requested by the user.

If the user chooses to be contacted by, or schedules an appointment with, an eye-care professional through the MyDiopter platform, relevant personal information and self-assessment results may be shared with the selected professional solely for the purpose of facilitating follow-up care and professional evaluation.

Such sharing will occur only at the user’s request or based on the user’s explicit action within the platform.  Eye-care professionals act as independent data controllers with respect to the information they receive.  Such sharing is performed only following the user’s explicit consent
and active selection within the platform.

Personal data may be processed in Israel, the European Union, the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including contractual data-protection commitments.
